From storm clouds to sunny sets, this stop of the East Coast Tour reminded us all why we love the Volcom crew and the chaos and good vibes they bring to PMQ!

Friday 21/3 : Stormriders x Volcom Skate Demo

Friday arvo at Port Macquarie Skate Park was supposed to be a classic demo. Then the rain came. And not just a drizzle — torrential, sideways, soaking-wet type rain.

But if you thought that would stop the crew, you haven’t met Volcom.

Instead of pulling the pin, the entire skate team — Ozzy Wright, Jesse Noonan, Zane Silvester, Jay Runciman, and more — ducked under a single tent, boards in hand, laughing, dripping, hyping each other up while the storm thrashed the park.

Local skaters stayed. Groms stayed. Everyone stayed. No tricks were missed. Even those taking place on an electric unicycle, pictured below. In true Road Rager style, it became one of the most memorable skate demos ever.

Saturday 22/3 : Saltwater wine X Volcom Surf expression session

Saturday morning down at Town Beach, the rain cleared, and the Volcom crew hit the water for the Surf Expression Session — a chance for local surfers and groms, including names from the Saltwater Wine Junior team such as…. To surf alongside some of Australia’s best.

Locals joined the session, including Charlie, a Port Macquarie surfer who rocked up late, realised he had forgotten his boardies, and just paddled out in denim jorts. No hesitation. No regrets.

The crew — Noa Deane, Kobi Clements, Ethan Copeland, Liv Lovelace and others — were throwing down on a custom Volcom Stone–shaped surfboard, making every wave a show.

It was packed. Locals were given the opportunity to listen to Keanu and the making of his film, ask questions and be some of the first viewers to see his new film.

Throughout the weekend, Volcom gave out prizes and merchandise, making everyone feel as though they were part of the crew.
