Delivery Delays

Delivery times may be impacted due to extreme weather conditions and peak seasons such as Christmas. Please consider this for orders that are time sensitive. Our teams are working tirelessly to make sure you receive your gear as soon as possible! We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Contactless Deliveries 

To limit contact when delivering orders, carriers will be maintaining their default contactless delivery methods.

This means all deliveries (unless deemed unsafe to do so) will automatically default to authority to leave (ATL) where possible and drivers will not be requesting a physical signature from the customer/receiver.

If you don’t have a safe place for the parcel to be left, the courier will take your order to the nearest Post Office or Parcel Collection Point for you to collect.

What are my shipping options when shopping online?

Standard Shipping:

  • For all online orders Australia wide standard shipping is free for orders over $99 (excluding surf and skate hardware and other bulky items* where shipping costs may differ depending on the product purchased).
  • Standard shipping is $10 for orders under $99 (excluding surf and skate hardware and other bulky items* where shipping costs may differ depending on the product purchased).

    *Surf and Skate Hardware and other bulky items: Any surfboards, softboards, longboards, stand up paddle boards, bodyboards and surf accessories, skateboards and parts (complete, decks, trucks and wheels), roller skates, scooters, skate safety gear and accessories and travel bags.

    **Free shipping thresholds are subject to change at any time, including but not limited to promotional and sale periods. Any changes will be communicated via email and on the website at the time.

    All shipping rates are for online orders only and do not apply for purchases in Saltwater Wine, Stormriders or Red Herring Surf stores. Online orders made via Click & Collect incur stand alone store shipping rates if required to be posted. Please contact these stores directly for information on their shipping rates. 

    Where can I ship my order to?

    Orders can be shipped to any home or business address. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to PO Boxes.

    When can I expect to receive my order?

    Delivery times depend on where you are located, what store your item(s) are being sent from and the postage speed you have selected when checking out. Please note that we operate via 100% store fulfilment across both NSW and TAS which may mean your deliveries could come from various stores and (if you order multiple items), in separate deliveries possibly at varied timings. We have provided some general guidelines below, though you will be able to track your individual delivery once it has been dispatched:

    Orders are dispatched between 9:00am and 3:00pm AEST Monday through Friday (excluding public holidays). Orders received after 3:00pm AEST or outside of AEST business hours will be dispatched the following business day. Please note that the delivery times listed should be treated as estimates only. Expected delivery timeframes will be communicated via email once your parcel has been dispatched.

    Whilst we intend to ship your order within the timeframes supplied, unforeseen delays in shipping during peak trade times may occasionally occur. These may include special promotions, seasonal sales and holiday periods.

    If you have ordered more than one item, your order may arrive in more than one package. You will receive a separate dispatch email and tracking number for each item/s you have ordered. This allows us to get your order to you as quickly as possible. 

    How will I know how much shipping will cost?

    Generally, shipping will cost $10 for a Standard delivery. These will be shown as options when completing your purchase at checkout. If you have spent over $99, you will be eligible for free Standard shipping. If you are purchasing a bulky item (i.e. Surfboard / Beach Umbrella), the shipping will be based on the size of the item and automatically calculated at checkout. 

    All shipping charges are non-refundable. If shipping to a business, please include the business name and full address at checkout.

    Will I be able to track my order?

    Yes! Once your order has been dispatched from our stores, an email will be sent with your parcel tracking number and a link with which you can click to check the status of your delivery.

    What if no one is available to sign for my delivery?

    The courier will only leave your order if there is a safe place to leave this. In the instance where there is no safe place to leave the parcel, the driver will return the parcel to a post office or collection point.

    BoardCollective cannot be held responsible for any parcels that are lost, stolen or damaged as a result of the courier leaving your order in a safe place if you are not home. 

    If the courier takes your parcel to the nearest post office, the courier will leave a delivery card at the nominated delivery address. If this occurs an email will also be sent to notify you of the attempted delivery and the location of the parcel, once it has been redirected to the nearest Australia Post Office for collection.

    To collect the parcel the delivery card must be presented with a form of photo identification. Parcels must be collected within 10 business days from the date it is received by the local Post office. If the parcel is not collected within this timeframe it will be returned to the sender.
